Naeba Prince Hotel, Yuzawa (Niigata)

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms definitely felt old school and rough around the edges, especially in Wing 6. Despite being non-smoking, the location within the 'smoking room area' led to a noticeable smoke odor in the bathroom and near the door. On the bright side, the rooms had bidets, and the free shuttle bus service to and from Echigo Yuzawa station was convenient. The staff were honest, but the overall decor was outdated.

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was unbeatable, right at the base of the chair lifts, which was perfect for snow activities. However, the room was disappointing as it was small, smelled of cigarettes, and was old and worn. The service was friendly overall but lacked promptness and assistance at times. The dining experience was slightly above average, and the facilities were satisfactory.

Overall, a good choice for its location and service, despite some room conditions and dining costs.
